EKO - Organic certification

The word "organic" is defined by law.

Skal is the legal holder of the EKO Quality symbol. This symbol stands for organic production certified by Skal.

The symbol denotes that the product has reached the standards set down by Skal and the EU-regulations for organic production and GM free.

Fairtrade certified

The Fairtrade foundation is the independent body that awards the FAIRTRADE mark to products that meet international standards set by the certification body Fairtrade Labeling Organisations International (FLO).

Soil Association - Organic certification

The word "organic" is defined by law. This symbol denotes that the Soil Association which is one of the UK's leading certification organisation for organic food, textiles and farming.

It is a global testing and accreditation scheme for the screening of harmful substances within consumer textiles. It is the leading label for textiles that have been screened for harmful substances.

Manufactured form Sustainably sourced bamboo

This symbol denotes that part of or this entire product has been made from bamboo which is grown using sustainable forestry management in either China or Turkey according to strict ISO9000 and ISO 14000 regulations. Furthermore as the fastest growing plant in the world, bamboo grows to its maximum height in about 3 months and reaches maturity in 3-4 years. It spreads rapidly across large areas. Because of this, bamboo is known to improve soil quality in degraded and eroded areas of land.

Eco - Friendly

This symbol denotes this product has been produced using manufacturing and transportation processes that are carbon neutral and have no negative impact on the natural ecology of their place of origin. The materials are naturally grown but fall outside of the certification processes currently available for their type.

This symbol denotes all the constituent ingredients used in this product break down naturally back into the environment and have no detrimental impact on the planet's natural ecology.

Certified natural ingredients

This symbol denotes all the constituent ingredients used in this product are certified organic in the UK under certification processes other than SKAL or the Soil Association as they do not fit within these organisations realms of certification.

Wind Power

This symbol denotes the product has been exclusively manufactured using renewable energy produced using wind powered turbines to power machinery etc.

Recycled

A well know symbol used in many different ways in the UK to denote recycle or recycled.

On our web site we have used this symbol to denote that we are supplying a product which has recycled content.

Recycled Truck Tyres

This symbol denotes the soles of these sandals have been handmade exclusively from the recycled tyres of goods and humanitarian aid trucks in East Africa.

Recycled Bicycle Tyres

This symbol denotes these belts have been handmade from recycled tyres from Bicycles in London.

International Organic certification

The symbol denotes that the product has reached the standards set down previous to the introduction of SKAL and the EU-regulations for organic production and is awaiting certification under these schemes in Africa.

	Ethos of Rebearth Future Adventure The Primary aim of Rebearth Future Adventure is conceived from an enjoyment of the natural environment as a playground for outdoor adventure activities and thus the desire to retain it in its current if not enhanced natural state. It is by providing outdoor adventure participants and providers with environmentally friendly, recycled and ecologically sound apparel and equipment, that Rebearth Future Adventure intends to meet its primary aim. All raw materials used in the construction of the range of outdoor adventure apparel and equipment will be sourced from recognised and certified environmentally friendly, recycled and ecologically sound suppliers and will themselves be either of natural, recycled or minimum carbon impact materials again carrying recognised and certified proof of legitimacy. All stages of transportation will employ methods which are identified and recognised as having as minimal an impact on the environment as possible and wherever possible will be sourced in the UK to minimise carbon impact. All processes used in the manufacture of the apparel and equipment will be carried out by environmentally aware producers with ecological impact minimised either by the employment of environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and/or the use of natural binding materials, colorants and finishes. Rebearth Future Adventure will then employ retail methods which minimise carbon emissions in particular a renewable energy powered internet site for secure on line transactions. All business activities carried out in the running of Rebearth Future Adventure will be carried out with environmental sustainability in mind and waste kept to a minimum or recycled for future use. Furthermore to underline the commitment of Rebearth Future Adventure to this ethos a percentage of all income will be donated via an Earth tax to grass roots environmental and social projects.
