Earth Tax
As part of the Rebearth Future Adventure Ethos of environmental protection and sustainability I have decided to create an Earth tax whereby part of the income generated by Rebearth Future Adventure is invested directly in local organisations and campaigns which support our ethos, it’s nice to share and as they say charity begins at home.
The Benefactors of the Rebearth Earth tax for 2009 are
- The QE2 Silver jubilee Activity centre, Manor Farm Country Park, Bursledon Hampshire.
1 of a group of 12 “very special” outdoor adventure centres in the UK. Having worked with these guys for the past few years, I appreciate that they are an amazing bunch of people totally dedicated to offering opportunities to people with special needs and disabilities the opportunity to participate in a wide range of outdoor adventure activities in a safe and extremely caring environment. Please visit their website for more information on their fantastic work, all I ask is that you mention Rebearth if you chose to contact them.
- Friends of Lepe Country Park, Lepe, Exbury. Hampshire
This is a dedicated group of people who regularly give up their free time to carry out conservation work to sustain the environment at the beautiful Lepe Country Park on the Solent overlooking the Isle of Wight. They are all committed to making the park a great place to visit and enjoy nature’s playground now and for the future. Please visit their website for more information on their fantastic work, all I ask is that you mention Rebearth if you chose to contact them or better still join them.
- The Marine Conservation Society – Adopt a Beach Scheme
This is a coastal environmental initiative organised by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), involving local individuals, groups and communities in caring for their coastal environment. Their main activity is organising local beach patrols to pick up litter, Promoting the provision and use of port reception facilities at all ports, marinas and harbours and lobbying the UK and European governments about marine conservation issues especially littering and marine pollution. Please visit their website for more information on their fantastic work, all I ask is that you mention Rebearth if you chose to contact them and maybe adopt a beach near you.
